Use case
A TradingView trade recorder that clips every trade on its own
Recording TradingView is easy; finding the trade afterwards is not. TradeCut watches your TradingView positions, marks where each trade starts and ends, and saves it as its own clip, so a full session turns into a short list of trades instead of one long video.
How TradeCut spots a TradingView trade
TradeCut reads TradingView's positions panel, whether you trade in the TradingView desktop app or in a browser on the same computer. When a position appears, the recorder flips from its quiet session mode to in-trade; when the position closes, the clip ends. The entry and the exit are marked for you.
There are no hotkeys and no scenes to switch. You click buy or sell exactly as you always do, and the recording follows the position rather than your memory.
What lands in your library after each trade
Every closed trade becomes a separate entry, not a timestamp buried in a recording. The clip carries the symbol, the direction, the time and the result read off the chart, and those facts become its caption.
- Filter the library by ticker, date or P&L
- Open any clip on the web from any browser once it has synced
- Delete the ones you never want to see again
Setting it up once
Install the desktop app for macOS or Windows, sign in, then choose the screen your charts are on and your trading hours. From then on TradeCut records only inside those hours and stays out of the way in the background. Nothing leaves your computer unless you turn on cloud sync.
From recorded trade to finished clip
Detection is the start. In the editor you can fast-forward a long hold from 5× to 100× while the entry and exit play at full speed, crop to the chart area once, and render in the cloud in vertical, square or wide format. Rendering happens on our servers, so your trading machine is not busy exporting video during market hours. Want to post the result? The social media guide covers formats and captions.
Questions
Does it work with TradingView in a browser?
Yes. TradeCut detects trades in the TradingView desktop app and in TradingView running in a browser, as long as it is on the computer where the TradeCut app is recording.
Do I have to connect my broker or TradingView account?
No. TradeCut works from what is on your screen. It never asks for broker or TradingView credentials and never places orders.
What if I also trade on another platform?
You can still record it. On a platform without automatic detection you record the session and mark the trade yourself, and TradeCut still cuts, captions and exports the clip. NinjaTrader 8 on Windows is detected automatically through an add-on, and more platforms are on the way.
How many trades can I record?
The free trial covers up to 14 clips over 7 days. Starter includes 28 clips a month and Pro includes 125.
Let your next session clip itself.
7 days, 14 clips, no card. Install in two minutes on macOS or Windows.
