What we do

TradeCut builds TradeCut— a desktop app for macOS and Windows that records a trader’s screen during a trading session and automatically turns each trade into its own clip, labelled with the symbol, direction, entry and exit, and outcome. Instead of scrubbing through hours of footage to find the one trade worth reviewing, you open a library where every trade is already a separate, searchable entry.

Why we built it

Reviewing your own trades is the part of the job everyone agrees matters and almost nobody does, because the editing is tedious enough to make it not worth it. We built TradeCut to remove that step entirely: record once, and the review material makes itself. It is a journalling and analysis tool for traders who would rather trade than edit video.

How we handle what you record

Recording is local by default. Clips and the index of your trades are stored on your own computer, and nothing about your recordings or your trades reaches us unless you sign in and turn on cloud sync. We never sell customer data and never pass it to third parties for their own purposes — the detail is in our Privacy Policy.
